What to Do / Activities in Sydney:

If you plan to go to the Opera House, it is best to get the tickets in advance because you run the risk of them selling out when you get there because of the high number of tourists that visit.

Getting Around in Sydney:

1. f you go for a week or more, it is worth buying a pass that can be used for the ferry, bus, or train. You should use all three methods to get around. They sell these passes at kiosks. Taxis are extremely expensive.

2. If travelling by bus, buy the 10 pass bus ticket instead of individual rides. You will save money and the hassle of making sure you have coins each time you want to take a bus.

3. Make sure your taxi has a meter; otherwise the driver will try to take advantage of you.

4. To take the ferry is cheaper than a taxi.

Dining and Food in Sydney:

Ordering coffee is very different from the US.
Long black = double shot of espresso and water (similar to an Americano).
Iced Coffee= coffee and ice cream (not coffee over ice!).
Flat White= similar to a latte with 1/3 espresso and 2/3 steamed milk.
