Getting Around in Bogota:
1. ake the Trans Milenio buses that go in between stations and avoid the city traffic. Bogota has traffic laws like "Pico y Placa"; A weekly (except Saturday and Sunday) schedule where each day of the week has a number assigned that prohibits vehicles whose license plate ends in that number to be driven. Traffic is really slow before, during, and after rush hours. Trans Milenio tickets are inexpensive and can take tourists from North to South quickly without having to waste time in traffic. However, the buses can be very crowded during rush hours.

2. When you get to the airport in Bogota, there is an information booth where they have a list of taxi prices. You can give them the address of where you are going and they will price the taxi for you. They will give you a receipt that shows how much you should pay. Then, give that to the taxi. It will be cheaper than if you ask the taxi driver directly.
