1. The roads and signs do not make sense. You are better off hiring a driver if you don’t want to spend your entire vacation lost

2. When going to Poas Volcano and National Park go early, especially if it's a nice day, because there will be a lot of traffic and a long car line to enter the park.

Weather in San Jose:

I went to Costa Rica in December and traveled to different areas. The weather changed often, so sometimes it was hot and sometimes it was cool. Really check into the weather because you may want to pack layers.
