What to Do / Activities in Monteverde:
1. The night-time nature walks are overrated. You will see a lot of bugs, but not much else. So unless you are really into nature walks, you could skip it.

2. When choosing a river rafting tour, find out the level of the rafting to make sure it is what you want. I was told my rafting would be level three and it was more like level one and two. Also, find out how big the group it. I went with a group of 10 and then my group was combine with a tour bus of forty people. At different points on the river we kept having to stop and wait for other boats.

Lodging in Monteverde:
The hotels are rustic, so don't expect the 4 or 5 star hotel quality, you are used to in other places. You may be "roughing" it a little bit.

Weather in MonteVerde:
I went to Costa Rica in December and traveled to different areas. The weather changed often, so sometimes it was hot and sometimes it was cool. Really check into the weather because you may want to pack layers.
