What to Do / Activities in Koh Phi Phi:

1. BEWARE of the Thai Massage. This is nothing like a Swedish massage. They twist and turn you so that you walk out of the parlor feeling like you were in a fight.

2. All around town they sell a 1 day boat tour that includes kayaking and snorkeling. This tour is so much fun and so beautiful, and it takes you to the island where the movie, The Beach, was filmed. The island where the movie was filmed is for day visitors only, you cannot spend the night there and it is very small.

Lodging in Koh Phi Phi:

1. There are two parts of the island you can stay on: the area where the town is, and an area that is more secluded. The island is very small, so they are very close together, but you have to take a $5 water taxi to get from one side to the other, and at night these taxis can be scarce. I recommend staying at a hotel where the town is, it is much more convenient and you can still find a hotel away from the main area where you can have privacy.

2. When you arrive to Koh Phi Phi from the boat, there will be a lot of agents trying to sell you hotels. You do not need to book through them. Koh Phi Phi is a small island and once you get there, you can walk around to find a hotel you like.
